Hi, my name is Jory Dirkse. I am a fly-fishing guide primarily on the Pere Marquette river which is designated as a national scenic and a Blue Ribbon Fishery river.

Having over 12 years experience, being federally licensed and fully insured allows me to pass on a passion I have about fly fishing.

I’m also a member of the Pere marquette River Guide Association, the Pere Marquette Watershed Council, and Trout Unlimited.

Whether it’s the first time learning the basics or a trophy hunter hoping for a big brown, fall salmon/steelhead or spring steelhead, I’m so grateful that I an make it happen. I get great satisfaction in my work when I see clients appreciate and become aware of the passion of fly fishing and being outdoors. And that happens, whether you catch a fish or not.

When I’m not out on the river, I love taking walks with my dog Bananas and, of course, time flies.
