We are gonna let it all hang out folks!! The summer is officially here. With that remember the river is going to get busier so just be ready to share with canoes, kayaks and other anglers. Also it is the time that it is required to have float permit on a daily basis. You can find them and get them at federal forest Pere Marquette website. Make sure to do it cause….well it is the law and the fine can be hefty. Now on to the the fishing.

The grays are around but they seem to left as fast as they came. Hopefully we get a second wave of them…we always seem to right before the hexs. With the water low and the river turning nocturnal mousing has been the game. We have been fortunate enough to get some really nice fish of late…no pun intended. My good friend since childhood Rob Carson and one fishy dude got a goodie that taped at 25 in…congrats bud and sorry about the so so picture.

Hexs are right around the corner and hopefully will be seen around this weekend…keep you fingers crossed. Sorry about the short report but I got to go fish!! If you need more info book a trip and save a guide!!
