2017 Salmon season is over for this fishing guide. There are enough salmon if you include your coho to keep an angler busy for a bit longer. There is enough fall steel starting to show up that I have personally shifted my focus to chrome and salmo trutta.

The weather is so nice I am starting to worry about our fall steel set up ( there is always at catch 22) but some are showing up despite the water levels and water temps. Are we going to even have a fall at this point? November is almost here and it is 60 degrees still….crazy!!

Enjoy the quiet and peace the river brings with the more challenging fish that enter are river in November through December. Fall steelhead should never be a numbers game it should be about truly challenging yourself as an angler and bringing yourself truly closer to our targets. Honestly there is no other fish that will literally stare you down sometimes….besides maybe a salmo truttasorus lol. Come check it out folks!!

The salmon are in thick, the trout are hungry, and the weather is amazing. The salmon are in thick, the trout are hungry, and the weather is amazing. There just isn’t much else to say gang!! Did I need to mention how nice the weather is for mid October!!

The salmon numbers are starting to dwindle but there are still enough around to have a day at it. Salmon fishing should continue for another couple weeks at this rate. Egging for trout is game on as the crowds decrease. Weekends are still busy but the week days are no longer crazy. Over the next few weeks streamer fishing should pick up as the kings thin out and soon we should start to see some real fall steelhead!!

Not really much new to say folks and no news can be good news. Salmon are thick in the river, the trout bite has been good and the river has given a lot of people wonderful memories this September. This should continue for a couple more weeks and we can get to the fall steelhead and trout game!!

It almost hard to believe the weather is this nice and the fishing is this good. If are new to the game, introducing, reintroducing, bringing up a loved one, taking a beautiful lady out on amazing experience then book a trip and get up here. Now is the time.

I can not stress enough this time of year share, respect, protect and enjoy our rivers.
