The Very First Time
We are in the heart of our winter. Which means this lousy cold weather is half way finished for us warm blooded folks. Fishing has been decent on the right days but even with the perfect set up, winter days are only going to produce a limited number of fish generally and we are in the heart of our winter. The river can be a truly tranquil place this time of the year helping make up for some of that cold nonsense January brings. Even a fair weather fellow has to admit that.
This is the first monthly award for a fly pattern ever!! On this report lol. This will be a recurring award based solely on one merit only. That sole merit will be whatever pattern I personally saw produce the most memorable experience of the month in my boat. Also occasionally it may just qualify as educational!! So let’s get down to the nitty gritty and get the show on the road!!
