Get Ready

The end of August is all ready here!!! Where does the time so quickly go? Chasing Brown trout all night the past few months could be an answer. This will be my last week or so of mousing or lights out fishing. Anglers can fish after dark for trout well through September with good success. I myself must shift gears towards the migration of Chinook salmon that invades are rivers over the next few months. These big fish will be arriving soon as well as the crowds that follow them. There is a absolute shit ton of debate over these fish and I am not going to get into any of it. As long one isn’t breaking any laws and being respectful to the river, fish, and other anglers….then have fun and!!!

What!?!?

It is a good thing I love to fish cause catching hasn’t been good of late for this dutch Angler. Don’t worry folks the river and fish are doing just fine getting the best of me lately. Anglers are getting fish though!! Night fishing and terrestrials are still the bread and butter of methods of the fly angler even though it may start to sound redundant.

Now for some non fishing pics. Figure I would take this opportunity to show off a little bit of Michigan’s wildlife and introduce my walking buddy as well as my best friend.

Next week back to fish pics!!

Michigan Hog nose or the deadly Michigan cobra.
